If it’s January it’s time for a little crystal adventure and road trip to Quartzsite, Arizona.

This crystal adventure starts with a long drive across the
lonely, hot, windswept highway and ends in the desert of western Arizona, approximately 20 miles east of the Colorado River on Interstate 10 at the rock hound paradise of Quartzsite.

Since the 1960s, numerous crystal vendors, mineral specimen collectors, and rock hounding enthusiasts make the annual pilgrimage to Quartzsite to swap digging adventure stories and shop for crystals among the flapping tents, RVs, and tables full of mineral specimens.
