Karma

"one receives that which one gives" - it is the doctrine of inevitable consequence.  It is defined religions of Hinduism and Buddhism, to be the cosmic operation of retribution which acts to determine the status and experience of a person based upon the actions of that person during a previous incarnation.  The philosophy of karma is that ones actions in this life may also affect future lives and that ones experience in this life are based upon actions during a previous life.
